This design was a collaboration with Jenny Garbutt. We had a challenging lot that required designing for sun and wind while still taking advantage of the spectacular view. The result was a deck that recessed into the house to create a sheltered, more usable outside living area. We also managed to create a split driveway and provide a lower garage for Sandra’s mother to easily access the lower floor.
